Graphics are ok - not worse or better than Project Cars 2 that I am used to, not as slick looking as GT Sport. Tried a couple laps this morning at Nurburgring in the Aston Martin. Save your money, or at least wait until after they come out with a FEW patches first. PC1 was a more playable game at release than this garbage. I even tried the ‘steering assist’, and all that seemed to make the car do was go straight off at every corner. There is no setting for FoV, and no description of what each individual setting does when you try to make the game more playable. Many wheel users report several bugs that require them to unplug their usb many times, and it seems the game doesn’t even support the Thrustmaster TX. There are so many unfinished oarts of this game. After looking through reviews, that’s a commin theme with every car. Tried doing a night round of the Lamborghini test at the beginning of career, and the headlights are pretty much useless. Honestly, the GT3 cars in AC drive better, sound better, and look better. after spending about two hours with this game so far. What are the other XBox options? Forza or Project Cars 2?Ĭan anybody release a complete, ready to go game these days? I am fairly excited to get it and see how it is, but like I said, I've not played it yet, so who knows. I expect the number of cars will be limited sort of like how Project Cars 2 allows 32 cars for the PC version, but only 16 cars for the PS4 version (multiplayer). Not sure what things will be dumbed down for consoles. It has day/night transitions, weather changes, the PC version allows driver swaps so for longer races, you can split time with other drivers. No career mode or anything like that AFAIK. Limited tracks, only GT3 cars (GT4 coming soon) and supposedly just tries to be a simulator. Handling supposedly more realistic than Project Cars 2 where most of the cars slide everywhere and don't really have much grip. Graphics look better than iRacing and there is no ongoing fees to pay every month. There is a lot of content on Youtube and Twitch of sim racing streamers playing it (PC version). The PC version seems fairly popular and mostly people seem to like it, but I've not played it. In reply to xflowgolf (Forum Supporter) : May be a good option for us to switch to instead of GT Sport. I think that the cars will have a bit more realistic grip level than they do in PC2 where things frequently feel like their may be a bit of ice on the track at times.īrad, I'm counting on you to buy this one to test it out with me. This game has largely discplaced Project Cars 2 as the platform the e-sport alien types. Since this game is the official Blancpain GT series videogame, the cars are all GT3 cars for now, but it looks like there is an upcoming DLC that will add GT4 cars as well. DLC also includes a bunch of extra liveries. If you pre-order the game, the DLC is included, otherwise it's an extra $15. There are some DLC tracks as well: Kyalami, Suzuka, Laguna Seca, Mount Panorama. Most of these tracks are familiar to me from Project Cars 2 and the various iterations of Grand Turismo, but a few are new to me. That one is worth full price in my opinion.Tracks in the base game are: Barcelona, Brands Hatch, Hungaroring, Misano, Monza, Nurburgring, Paul Ricard, Silverstone, Spa Francorchamps, Zandvoort, and Zolder. If you get ACC I recommend the IGTC pack as well to get 4 brilliant laser-scanned tracks. That is an absolute bargain.ĪCC and it's DLC packs are also on sale. It's currently on sale at multiple sites with a huge discount (it's £5.01 for me). That gives you the base game and all DLC packs, and is much cheaper than buying everything individually. ACC for GT racing, AC for everything else. The only racing games I currently have installed are the two Assetto Corsas. The GT3 cars are actually designed to use traction control and ABS. It's multiplayer is less active and varies in quality but can be utterly brilliant when people are racing cleanly.īoth games offer assists that you can use as you wish. There are fantastic premium mods as well.ĪCC is the best racing game/simulator I've ever played. If you enjoy that and want something a bit more realistic try Project Cars 2.ĪC multiplayer is very active and there are tons of mods available for free. The assetto Corsas are nothing like Forza.
